The inaugural FSC Asia Pacific Business Forum in Hanoi, Vietnam on 8 November saw over 100 FSC certificate holders from different companies and sectors attending.
The venue was all set…
…with participants arriving at the venue.
Before the forum started, participants from across the region and international buyers were getting acquainted with each other in the networking coffee session, while visiting exhibition booths where the companies showcased their sustainable operations and FSC-certified products.
Adam Beamount, the Regional Director of FSC Asia Pacific, started the forum with a welcoming speech.
Followed by a keynote speech acknowledging FSC’s benefits to both the environment and businesses from Mr Cao Chi Cong, Deputy General Director of the Vietnam Administration of Forestry from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Four key areas were selected in this forum to represent the core and upcoming forestry product industries in the region. The morning session began with talking about FSC as the market tool on organisation’s procurement policy, CSR obligations and Sustainable Development Goals, and the current and future market demand for FSC, challenges and opportunities in the pulp, paper and packaging sector.

The Forum continued with talking about the Rubber sector on the growing demand for FSC latex, followed by the Sustainable Timber Use in Construction and Furniture Sector
