On 5 December, FSC Asia Pacific and UPM Raflatac held a seminar entitled “Promoting Responsible Value Chains in Paper Products with Brands and Retailers”, which aimed to provide an occasion for businesses to learn more about the importance of sourcing products with responsible value chains.
Phil Guillery, FSC International’s Supply Chain Integrity Director, gave a presentation on the latest update of the digitalisation of FSC’s value chains, such as the plan on adopting blockchain technology, and how the organization can further strengthen the system’s integrity with innovation. While Robert Taylor, Director of Sustainability, UPM Raflatac and Sally Dai, Segment Manager, VIP NOA, UPM Raflatac talked about the benefits of FSC certification and the added value of FSC to their labelling business.
We are also grateful to have Anthony Hayes, the Head of QA Hardgoods from Lidl Hong Kong Limited, and Joyce Lau, Head of Sales – Big Bay Region South China, Kimberly Clark Professional, to be our speakers. They shared their best practices and cases on how they benefit from FSC’s brand awareness and how they use the FSC scheme to engage businesses with responsible forestry and together drives tangible outcomes.
