The Asia Pacific Forestry Week 2019 will be held in Incheon, the Republic of Korea from 17-21 June 2019 at Songdo Convensia Convention Center. To demonstrate FSC’s support to the event and commitment to the collaborative effort to make our forests thrive, FSC Asia Pacific will host a partner event on 19 June from 3.30 – 5pm, titled “FSC’s impacts in Asia Pacific on the forestry and value chains – perspectives from the private sectors and partners”, with the support of WWF International and NEPCon.
This year also marks the 25 years anniversary of FSC’s establishment. As the world’s most trusted forest certification scheme, we would like to take this opportunity to showcase:
- FSC’s decades of impacts in the Asia Pacific region, especially on forests and value chains, from the evaluations of the latest reports and perspectives of core market players;
- The recent developments of the supply chain integrity programmes, such as transaction verification and wood identification testing;
- Collaboration opportunities and synergies with market-based approaches, including increasing market access, promoting legality assurance and embrace change
